Lisa Velez completed the Associate Level Orton-Gillingham training and a one year practicum under a Fellow of the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators in Honolulu, Hawaii. She worked as a School Psychologist and Behavioral Health Specialist for School Based Behavioral Health/Hawaii Department of Education. Her work experience includes psychoeducational assessment (i.e., cognitive, behavioral, & academic assessment), behavioral and academic consultation & intervention, and counseling students with cognitive, learning, emotional, and/or behavioral disabilities. Lisa also worked as a School Counselor at Southern High School and Simon Sanchez High School. She has a BA in Psychology from the University of Washington & a MA in School Psychology from Argosy University, Honolulu.
